Acts and Epistles
The student will engage with the Acts of the Apostles, Romans, I and II Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians, progressing at roughly two chapters daily. Becoming a Youth Specialist
Youth Ministry Specialist (4 Credits)
This comprehensive course provides a broad overview of redefining the role of a Youth Minister. Participants will explore the following key questions:
- How does one become a Youth Specialist?
- What strategies are essential for reaching and discipling young people in this generation?
- How can you maintain your status as a specialist in youth ministry?

Beginning Praise Dancing Worship Class

This course offers a video and workbook on the basics of praise dancing. Praise dancing has long been recognized as the foundational dance form for all other dance expressions. The beginner will gain a complete understanding of the foundations of classical technique. In this course we will examine the foundation of Christian ethics. We will study the Scriptures to discover the precepts and principles we are given about such subjects as sex, family, honesty, suicide, abortion, the education of children, welfare, inflation, humanism, and gambling. We will then go one step further to discover the character of God which provides the foundation of the commands. We will learn to apply the Test of Truth and the Evidence of Truth in any situation. Christian Prophetic Prayer Counseling I

The purpose of Christian Prophetic Prayer Counseling is to help God’s children be transformed and conformed into the image of Christ. Cornerstones of Communication

Counseled by God

God’s Spirit is a ‘Wonderful Counselor’. We will let God speak to our hearts and counsel us about the basic emotional pressures of life. These include anger, doubt, depression, condemnation and inferiority. We will learn to let God replace these with His opposites, as His voice releases His grace within our hearts. Those whom the Son sets free are free indeed.
Counseling Practicum

The purpose of this practicum is for you to experience the healing work of the Holy Spirit in your own life in the areas you have studied in COU 310 and COU 311, Christian Prophetic Prayer Counseling I and II. You will gain further understanding of each area, and also become more healed yourself, and therefore better equipped to counsel others.

In a world in which we are daily forced to make decisions that lead us either closer to or further from our goals, no tool is as valuable in providing direction as a mission statement – a brief, succinct, and focused statement of purpose that can be used to initiate, evaluate, and refine all of life’s activities. People or groups with carefully defined missions have always led and surpassed those who have none. In this course you will be guided through every step of both defining and fulfilling a mission.
Creative Problem Solving

Spirit-born creativity is no accident; it requires purposeful activity. This study will open the doors of your understanding so that the creativity of God can flow through you continuously in ways such as you may have only dreamed. You will examine step-by-step how God progressively fills each of the five senses of your spirit with Himself, until His creative miracle is released into the natural realm.
Creative Writing I

The Creator God has deposited His creative Spirit within each of His children, and lighted a fire within each one to express that creativity through his own unique personality & gifting. Many people have an urge within them to write, but because of insecurity, the criticism of early teachers, lack of time or training, or a host of other reasons, they have not released that creative urge in a satisfying way. This course is designed to encourage, instruct & liberate those whom the Lord has called to minister through the written word. Whatever you are impelled to write, the Holy Spirit wants to be your Source and your Inspiration.
Creative Writing II

This course is designed with a twofold purpose: First, it will encourage, instruct and liberate those whom the Lord has called to minister to His body and His world through the written word. Whether you are impelled to write fiction or nonfiction, poems or college textbooks, the Holy Spirit wants to be your Source and your inspiration. In addition, you will explore the relationship between your Christian faith and the arts in general. You will meditate on what the Scriptures say about the arts, and the place of beauty and pleasure in the life of the believer.

This practical course focuses on discerning God’s voice. It combines biblical techniques of vision and journaling to help participants clarify the spontaneous thoughts that come from God. The key verses for this course are from John 10:21 The ultimate goal is to foster a two-way conversation with God through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Discerning Gods voice II (4 Credits)
Building upon the foundation of the first course, Discerning God’s voice continues to explore the art of discerning God’s voice. Participants will delve deeper into biblical techniques, vision, and journaling. The same key verses from John 10:21 guide this course, emphasizing the importance of conversing with God through the Holy Spirit.
Discovering the Blood Covenant

The purpose of this course is to help the student understand the concept of a blood covenant and how it relates to the covenant God has made for us through Jesus Christ. The student learns the basic blood covenant ritual and how God made it known to Adam, Abraham, Moses, and the prophets as a picture of the blood of the everlasting covenant He made for us with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Essentials of a World Class Youth Group

This course will discuss the vision of what a world class youth group should be like, what should be a part of that vision, how to implement the vision, how to get the young people to buy into that vision, what it means to have a world class youth group as opposed to a ‘struggling to stay alive’ youth ministry, and how to become a world class leader to lead a world class youth group.
Experiencing God in the Small Group

Class times are to be times of experiencing God and sensing the transmission of the life flow of the precious Holy Spirit among the classroom participants. They are to be much more than studies of God. They are to be experiences with God. This course will teach you how to make every class time a time of encounter with the Holy Spirit where each one receives an impartation of the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

In this course you will study 57 different aspects of the Person, character and attributes of God. For each, you will read an introduction, prayerfully read three or four pages of appropriate Scriptures, answer study questions, and do some additional research. You will also apply all of this to your everyday life, and memorize various passages of Scripture. You will know God much better when you have finished this course. Option #1: Do the study as part of a group – receive 1 additional credit; Option #2: Initiate and lead the group – receive 1 additional credit.

A look at God’s true plan for women: a plan of equality and release, in the home and in the Church. All the major portions of Scripture dealing with the role of women will be carefully studied. You will study several contemporary books on the subject and apply the truth to your own life.

Healing Anointing

The ministry of Jesus was and is a ministry of salvation for the whole man! When we speak of salvation, we speak not only of forgiveness of sins but also healing, deliverance, cleansing and anything else that pertains to life and godliness. Jesus has come to set the captives free! And because He has poured out His Spirit upon us, we may be ministers of salvation – healing for the spirit, soul and body – through the anointing that rests upon us. This practical course will give you keys to flowing in that anointing of God, lessons which have been learned by those who have gone before you and are now showing you the way.
Helping the Church Become a House of Prayer

This course will take a look at God’s original plan for His church. It will show that the Bible mandates that the church is to be a house of prayer. This is proven by the life of Jesus Christ and the life of the early church. This course will look at the promises that empowered the early church and motivated them. We will see that prayer brings joy into the house of the church. We will see that prayer meetings should be exciting, exhilarating, instructive, and looked forward to as one of the most important meetings of the church. A plan to help make prayer a priority shall be presented.

How to Get Through to a Young Person – Counseling

This course will discuss the crucial points of how to actually get through to the heart and mind of a teenager. It will include speaking technique, as well as the content of the speaking, and real ministry. We will deal with issues that really matter, how to put sermons together what really impact their lives, and how to lead into ministry at the end of each service.

Increasing the Anointing Min

The key to the successful Christian life is walking and living in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This course has three emphases: First it is designed to help one become aware of his spirit. All 1400 verses of Scripture that deal with the heart and spirit of man are closely considered with the one supreme objective of learning to sense our spirit and the Spirit of Christ within our spirit. From there we go on to examining the anointing of the Holy Spirit and how the anointing can be increased in one’s life. Finally, we will try to get to know the Holy Spirit as a Person.

A practical course designed to familiarize the student with the history, theology, and principles of the sometimes criticized Church Growth Movement. A small amount of time will be spent early in the course laying the foundation and understanding the ‘roots’ of the movement. However, the majority of the course will focus on the various principles and methodologies used to remove the barriers and obstacles which hinder a church from achieving the God-given vision for that particular body of believers.
